Yesterday I had the incredible experience of coaching and photographing my niece’s birth. Amazing! Little Elise decided she wanted to come early at 31 weeks. She is doing incredibly well!

This the third session for this family and I was so honored to be invited back to photograph their newest addition. Baby ‘A’ is one of the most alert and strong newborns I have met!

Congratulations again! She is beautiful!

Now that my busy season is over I am excited to start a fun new project – take a picture every week in 2011. There will be a different theme each week. Feel free to play along and post a link to your pictures. I would love to see how creative everyone is! If you want a full list of the 52 themes, shoot me an email and I’ll send it on. I promise myself to keep this going and not fall off the wagon like I did last year.
This week’s theme is ‘NEW.’ What is more fitting than a brand NEW baby! This beautiful little girl is 8 days new.

More of this cutie coming up tomorrow

It has been a while since I have blogged. I took most of December off to relax and just enjoy the holidays with family and friends. It was great to catch my breath after such a busy fall! I am slowly getting back into the swing of things and searching for the energy to take the tree and decorations down
Everything I do comes with pictures and here are a few from my holidays and vacation!

Anna was so excited to find Santa at the MN Zoo a few weeks ago! All she had been asking for was the Dragon movie (How to Train Your Dragon). Santa delivered and we have now watched the dragon movie close to 50 times!

Christmas was so awesome this year! Anna is understanding the meaning (and the gifts) and loved every minute of it. My dad made me that gorgeous sled up above. Amazing talent! So excited to use it!

The day after Christmas we headed up to my parents’ near Grand Rapids. We had a great time up north and enjoyed snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Our family gift to each other was snowshoes. I didn’t get a good picture of Anna’s, but they are super adorable dinasour snowshoes. She loves stomping around in them roaring like a dinasour!
I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year!
